Dating people can be fun and exciting, but one of the main problems that many people (shy or not) have to overcome is meeting them in the first place. Usually, we have a tendency to hang out in the same places and after a while we have either met most of the people or aren't interested in meeting the rest. So the first obstacle to overcome is where to meet them. Here are a few suggestions of unique places but before I list them I must say that if you frequent any one of them then you must change this and go to other places to try them out.
- Buses or Trains - when traveling it is relatively easy to start up a conservation with new people. Smile and if they smile back comment on the weather or something. If they respond, continue the conversation from there. HINT: Do not ask them for their number until the very end so that they will get the impression that you really want to know them and not just date them or anything else.
- Museums or Art Galleries - these are places where you will be able to meet interesting people. You don't have to know art to go. Enter and after you spot an interesting person standing in front of a picture, walk up to them and ask them for help. (Everyone likes to help.) If they smile back, say that this is the first time here and that you can't understand something about the picture. (Check beforehand and try and figure out something that puzzles you about the picture.) You could even suggest ways in which the artist may have accomplished the feat.
- Class - Join different classes such as cooking, painting, sculpture. These are exceptional ways to meet people because the classes are usually small and you can interact easily with other singles there.
